changed the inventory screen to look less ridiculous. it's still ridiculous but it reminds me of older 90s JRPG menus with the image looping in the background. this time around, getting an inventory system working was much easier than the shmup game i was doing before. that was the most ridiculous thing i've ever done. was also able to identify picking up the currency, and throwing it into item_data, inventory_data all that stuff. it's a bit confusing to get the layering of everything in godot. i have class names that go into class names that go into other class names and they all link together, but sometimes i forget which is where ,and what goes when, and when something goes before something else.
wanted to show the inventory being empty and then picking up 3 orbs. can barely tell since i had to downsize this gif by so much, probably looks like nothing but just know it updates.
